Educational Goals

The university expects students to possess the following eight core competency indicators: interpersonal interaction, self-growth, humanistic literacy, international mobility, innovation and creativity, interdisciplinary integration, information capability, and professional skills. These indicators serve as the primary objectives for cultivating students. The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, where the Department of Leisure and Recreation is located, believes that students should possess innovation, aesthetics, technology, and practical abilities. Therefore, based on the above analysis of the current situation and in accordance with the expectations of the university and college for students, the following educational objectives and core competencies for each academic program have been established:

【Day Division – Four-Year Program】

 To cultivate professionals for the recreation landscape industry who possess abilities in planning, design, development, and basic management, and who acquire the following competencies:

  • Creative thinking ability
  • Basic logical training ability
  • Communication and expression ability
  • Planning and design ability
  • Humanistic aesthetic ability
  • Digital design ability

【Day Division – Master’s Program】

To cultivate advanced professionals in the recreation landscape field with capabilities in management and professional research, and who acquire the following competencies:

  • Independent thinking ability
  • Advanced logical analysis ability
  • Communication, expression, and integration ability
  • Insight and problem-solving ability
  • Professional research ability related to recreation landscape
  • Sustainable management ability

【In-Service Master’s Program】

To cultivate advanced professionals in the recreation landscape industry with capabilities in management and practical application, and who acquire the following competencies:

  • Resource analysis and integration ability
  • Advanced logical training ability
